of only five Crown Orders administered on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. (The other
four National Orders are The Order of Canada, The Order of Military Merit, The Order of Merit of
the Police Forces, and The Royal Victorian Order.) Her Excellency, the Right Honourable
Michaëlle Jean, is the Prior and Chief Officer of the Order of St. John of Canada. His Honour,
Norman Kwong, Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, is the Queen’s
Representative for the Province of Alberta.

The mission of St. John Ambulance is to enable Canadians to improve their health, safety
and quality of life by providing training and community services.
