All St. John Ambulance courses meet strict guidelines for content and delivery. Each province and territory of Canada legislates workplace health and safety regulations differently. In addition, there are regulations which apply to federal government and other national organizations. St John Ambulance customizes courses to meet all regulations. Alberta Government List of Approved First Aid Training Agencies
St. John Ambulance Alberta Council is on the list of First Aid Training Agencies that have been approved by the provincial Director of Medical Services. St. John courses are delivered in accordance with the Provincial Regulations on First Aid courses & kits required for low, medium, and high hazard workplaces.

Group Discounts
Your group may be able to apply for group discounts depending on numbers and other factors. Please contact your local St. John Centre for more information. First Aid training in numbers means there will be more people in our communities with the skills to save lives.

Human Resource Professionals
Tracking First Aid training requirements and employees is as easy as 1-2-3. Through St. John's national database you can confirm which of your employees have been trained, receive confirmation of certification, including the date, and the recertification date.

  Specialty and Customized Courses
    St. John Ambulance endeavours to meet the First Aid training needs of your organization or
    industry. The courses and training that are listed on our website are designed to meet
    provincial and/or federal regulations and those of our communities and families.

    In some cases, your industry or organizational needs are more specialized, thereby requiring
    specialty or customized training requirements. St. John Ambulance can assist in meeting these
    specific needs. St. John Ambulance has developed specialty and customized courses and
    training programs for police services, the Canadian Military Services, and the Canadian
    Coastal Rescue Services.

First Aid Drills
Learn how your First Aiders can improve their First Aid action plan. First Aid Drills include an on-site mock accident scenario where "casualties" with simulated bloody injuries are introduced to the workforce unexpectedly. The response of the First Aiders is evaluated and reviewed for the group. Individual assessments are also provided.
