Pet First Aid (BC-PET)
Pet First aid is an introductory program that provides training which encourages safety in emergency situations and prepares rescuers to respond to life-threatening emergencies for domestic animals. Pet First Aid provides the participant with the knowledge, judgment, and skills needed to respond safely and effectively in an emergency.

Suitable for: Pet owners, Pet caregivers, 12 years of age or older. Topics Covered include: Disease prevention, Basic Safety, Emergency Scene Management, Unconsciousness, Airway Obstruction-Choking, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Bleeding and Wounds, Shock, Other Domestic Emergencies.

This is a non-certificate course for those who care for infants or children. The course stresses accident prevention.

What Every Babysitter Should Know (BC-HBS)
This course is designed to teach young people how to care for children and infants while babysitting. The course will enhance awareness and safety, responsible babysitting and will develop skills to cope with common emergencies. Students who successfully complete the program will be issued a certificate of completion.

Suitable for: Young people, 11 years of age or older.
