In 2008, St. John Ambulance celebrates its 125th Anniversary of service to humanity in Canada. In recognition of this momentous occasion, noted historian of Canadian and Commonwealth honours, Priory Historian and member of the Order of St. John, Dr. Christopher McCreery has written a book on the history of our organization in Canada.
“The Maple Leaf and the White Cross: A History of St.John Ambulance and the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem in Canada” is the story of St. John and its contributions to Canadians over the past 125 years.
The goal of this project is to raise awareness among Canadians and to recognize and honour our volunteers who have served both at home and abroad.
