National Office at St. John Ambulance Canada is made up of dedicated individuals who support the Priory of Canada, provincial / territorial Councils, and their respective branches across Canada.  Senior Staff and Board Officers are the primary liaison to the Order Secretariat and the Grand Council whose office is located in London, England.

Interim Chief Executive Officer

As Interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO), National Office, Steven assumes overall responsibility for the operations of St. John Ambulance National Office and NWT, Manitoba, and Nunavut Council, including the management and leadership of employees and contract staff positions and for providing effective leadership for both organizations’ operations.  

Together, the Board, Interim Chief Executive Officer, and National Office work collaboratively to generate results that are focused on meeting customer needs. This includes seeking out opportunities and new initiatives that can be rolled-out for the benefit of all customers across Canada. Within a federated structure, the Interim CEO is the Vice-Chair of the National Management Team, a team comprised of the CEOs from each provincial / territorial St. John Ambulance Office. Together, the National Management Team provides leadership and guidance on national strategic initiatives.

Steven has been the senior executive officer of St John Manitoba since August of 2005. He has more than 20 years experience in university administration, the theatre and with St. John Ambulance.

 

 

 

 

   

 

 

  Dawn Roach, Chief Operating Officer As Chief Operating Officer, Dawn is the chief staff officer responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Order of St. John Secretariat. Dawn is the liaison between Chapter and its committees to advance the Order’s missions and objectives. As Priory Secretary she develops, implements, monitors and evaluates all Order matters from a national, provincial and international perspective to ensure application and conformity with Order policies and procedures.

Before joining The Order of St. John, Dawn spent 10 years in a variety of positions at the Canadian Museums Association where she was responsible for the management and implementation of programs and projects focusing on youth employment, professional development, and international partnerships. Dawn holds an MBA from the University of Ottawa. She completed Carleton University’s Management Development Program for Women and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Trent University, and studied French at the Université de Grenoble.

 

  Martin Addison, Chief Information Officer
Martin joined St. John Ambulance as Chief Information Officer in November 2006.  His key role will be to provide strategic leadership to all aspects of information technology and telecommunications for St. John Ambulance nationally. In addition, Martin will provide leadership to a national initiative to align business practices and processes.  Martin came to SJA from the United Way movement in Vancouver where he was the Vice President of Organizational Planning & Operations. At the United Way Martin was responsible for all aspects of information technology, research, organizational planning and other strategic and cross-movement initiatives such as 211 and a Constituent Relationship Management Initiative amongst five of the largest United Ways in Canada.  Martin has more than 28 years experience as a business and IT manager in the business, consulting, government and not- for-profit sectors.  Martin has been an active member of the Board of Rainbow Collaborative Technologies for over four years.  Martin is with the National Office team, but will be based in the Vancouver Office of the BC & YU Council.
