When asked, our clients consistently tell us they are “satisfied" or "very satisfied" with the quality of instruction they receive. We attribute this, in part, to our Instructor Certification Program. To help maintain our high national standards, our instructors complete a comprehensive curriculum including instructional techniques and specific content related orientation. Candidates are monitored in the classroom before being qualified to instruct unassisted.
Our commitment to quality in the teaching environment means Instructors regualrly participate in workshops and programs designed to maintain current skills and build new areas of expertise. All St John Ambulance Instructors have fulfilled national screening requirements.
There are two levels of Instructor certification:
- Instructor Certification Program
(For people who want to become instructors in first aid and CPR.)
- Instructor-Trainer Certification Program
(An Instructor-Trainer development program.)
