Bob Vandewater  President

Bob is currently a Vice-President and Investment Advisor of CIBC Wood Gundy in Winnipeg. Bob is an Honorary Colonel of CF School of Survival and Aeromedical Training. He volunteers a great deal of time to various associations in promoting the education of today’s youth and the enhancement of the provision of medical services. Bob is a member of the Executive of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award and an active member of the St. Andrew’s Society of Winnipeg. He is the Honorary President of the Royal Military Institute of Manitoba, a Director of the Hubbell Awards, Chair of the Canadian Forces Liaison Council for Manitoba and Northwest Ontario and a Governor of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires, Manitoba Division. Bob is a member of the Advisory Board of the Queen’s Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada, a member of the Fort Garry Horse Foundation and an Honorary LCol in the 78th Fraser Highlanders, an historic regiment. Bob has received an Honorary CA degree from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba where he currently serves as a member of the Professional Conduct Committee and Investment Committee. He also serves as a volunteer on a number of charitable investment committees, including the Children’s Hospital Research Foundation. Bob has been very active in the Order of St. Lazarus, an international charitable organization where he serves as the international Grand Chancellor.

His lifelong commitment to the provision of training and education, as well as improving the quality of life, is consistent with the mission of St. John Ambulance.

Alain Laurencelle

Vice President

Alain is a partner of the Winnipeg law firm Taylor McCaffrey LLP. He was also appointed by the Minister of National Defence as an Honorary Lieutenant Colonel of 17(Winnipeg) Field Ambulance. He volunteers a great deal of time to various charitable and not-for-profit associations. He is the current President of the St.Boniface Chamber of Commerce and has played a leading role in the expansion of this business sector. Alain is the Past President but current Director of the Association of French Speaking Lawyers of Manitoba. He is a founding member of the Father Aurèle Lemoine Memorial Fund, Past President and Director of the Centre Renaissance Center (family crisis), and a Governor on the Board of the Manitoba Division of the Canadian Corps of Commissionaires.

Alain’s commitment to improving the quality of life for Manitobans is consistent with the mission of St. John Ambulance.
