St. John Ambulance Urges Fire Safety for the Holiday Season

St. John Ambulance is urging everyone to put fire safety awareness at the top of their holiday to-do-list. The Christmas season is a high risk period for fires in the home, due to widespread use of lights, candles, and related social activities which bring on additional risks that home owners should be prepared for. St. John Ambulance is appealing to people to be particularly vigilant over the coming weeks. The most important thing to do is install a minimum of two smoke alarms in your home, if you have not already done so. St. John Ambulance is also reminding people to be first aid trained and to think about having reliable fire safety products on hand to help prevent fires in their homes.
