BACKGROUND
The St. John White Cross Training Award recognizes an organization that has exhibited exemplary leadership in the area of employee or member safety. The first White Cross Award was issued in 2004 at the St. John Ambulance NS/PEI Council’s Annual Celebration of Community Dinner.

OBJECTIVES

To recognize the efforts of organizations and companies in the prevention of workplace incidents, injuries, and illness

To encourage organizations and companies to implement programs, policies, and projects that will improve the health and safety of their employees.

ELIGIBILITY
The White Cross Safety Award is open to all organizations and businesses, regardless of size or number of workers.}

Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee, and the award recipient will be based on meeting the attached criteria.

The White Cross Award will be presented during the St. John Ambulance Annual Celebration of Community Dinner.

Applications must be submitted by April 1.
