Each year, St. John Ambulance NS/PEI Council recognizes an organization for achieving excellence in the area of employee safety with the presentation of the prestigious White Cross Award. The 2007 award was presented to The Department of Health – Continuing Care District 1 for their dedication to the implementation of programs, policies and projects that improve the health and safety of their employees
