About Us

Part of New Brunswick Since 1896

The New Brunswick Council, of St. John Ambulance, was founded in 1896. St. John Ambulance provides essential health care services to New Brunswick citizens of all ages. From school education programs to advanced first aid for heavy industry, St. John Ambulance has a proud history of helping people save lives. We train thousands of New Brunswickers annually in first aid skills to help save lives and reduce injury.

Our Mission is to enable Canadians to improve their health, safety and quality of life by providing training and community service.

In New Brunswick, we are the largest provider of First Aid training, offering a wide range of programs to meet individual and workplace needs.

As a registered charity, our training revenues go directly back into our communities, supporting our various community service programs such as Therapy Dog visits, First Aid Coverage at public events and our Youth Programs.

In 2001, St. John Ambulance founded the Atlantic Paramedic Academy, which is Canada's largest bilingual paramedic training program, offering many levels of CMA accredited programs and enhanced continuing education programs.  Learn more about the Atlantic Paramedic Academy.

We invite you to explore our website and learn more about the differences we’re making in communities throughout New Brunswick.

We are proud to be "Canada’s Leader in First Aid Training."
