MEDICAL FIRST RESPONDERS
Most St. John Ambulance instructors and volunteers are trained in an advanced first aid program entitled “Medical First Responder”. This program is used by Canadian Coast Guard Rescue Specialists, Reserve Medical Corps attached to the Department of National Defence, industry, volunteer fire departments and other medical first responders.

Do you have a defibrillator at your workplace?

AEDs save lives
About 45,000 Canadians experience cardiac arrest every year.  That's one cardiac arrest every 12 minutes.  Defibrillation improves survival rates by up to 75% if delivered in the first few minutes.  With each passing minute, without defibrillation, the probablility of survival declines by 7 to 10%.  Making defibrillators easily accessible has the potential to save thousands of lives.
Please contact us about our affordable and easy to use AED units and visit our AED website                      www.sja-aed.ca for more information.
