Now recruiting members ages 10 – 15 to join in weekly Thursday night meetings and participate in activities that range from health oriented learning, community involvement, first aid training, and leadership development. Requirements are different depending on the age of the participant, but everyone under 18 years old must have written consent from their parent or guardian to partake in the program. St. John Ambulance, New Tecumseth Therapy Dog Unit is looking for dogs and handlers to join our dynamic volunteer group. As a team of you and your dog, volunteers visit local nursing/retirement homes to share the unconditional love of your canine friend with others. If your dog is friendly to all he/she meets, can settle in for a good story, loves to be petted and has some time to give, please contact the Barrie Simcoe Muskoka office for more information on this program.
