Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)
No matter where you are, people of all ages can suffer heart failure. From choking to cardiac arrest, the situation is life-threatening and requires swift, effective response. Knowing what to do can save a life. St. John Ambulance can give you the skills you need. Here is an outline of the Levels of CPR available.

Level A                                                                                                                                                                  One rescuer CPR and choking maneuvers for adults with an introduction to AED. Recommended for individuals looking for basic CPR skills, or individuals who work in an environment without children.

Level C                                                                                                                                                             Adult/Child/Infant CPR and choking, including hands-on AED practice. Recommended for individuals with or expecting children, or individuals who work with children.

Level C – Health Care Provider (HCP)                                                                                          Adult/Child/Infant CPR and choking, including artificial respiration, 2-rescuer CPR with AED certification and bag-valve-mask. This course is designed for those with specific health care responsibilities.

Automated External Defibrillation (AED)
St. John Ambulance offers hands on training in the specific type of AED equipment used by clients, including basic care and documentation, or as a generalized Public Access Defibrillation (PAD) course. Our instructors have the highest expertise based on our commitment to ongoing training, review and active involvement with the use of the equipment in real-life situations. AED training can be blended with any St. John Ambulance first aid and CPR course. Recommended for anyone working in an environment that has an AED, or for individuals who live with people that have existing heart concerns.

Please note: All of the above courses have a renewal option and should be refreshed annually.
