Emergency First Aid with CPR
This one-day course will teach you to recognize and provide intervention for life-threatening emergencies until medical aid arrives. Certificate valid for 3 years.
  • This is the basic workplace course for companies with 5 or fewer employees. Adult CPR. Meets WSIB requirements. Hands on AED practice.

  • Emergency First Aid with CPR Level C + AED
    Perfect course for parents and caregivers of young children. Hazards, choking, poison. CPR for all ages. WSIB approved. Hands on AED practice.

Standard First Aid with CPR
In addition to the skills covered in Emergency First Aid, this two-day course also includes first aid for other injuries and illnesses, including head and spinal injuries and limb fractures. Certificate valid for 3 years.

  • Our most popular course for the workplace. Includes adult CPR & cardiovascular risk factors. Designed for companies with more than 5 employees. Meets WSIB requirements. Hands on use of AED trainers.

  • A one day renewal for those that have taken the St. John Ambulance Standard with Heartsaver (Level A CPR) course which has not yet expired. Renewal of a certificate is permissible on a “once only” basis. Meets WSIB requirements. Hands on use of AED trainers.

  • Recognized prerequisite for lifeguards, medical, dental, police and ambulance programs. CPR for all ages. Meets WSIB requirements. Hands on use of AED trainers.

  • A one day renewal for those that have taken the St. John Ambulance Standard with Basic Rescuer (Level C CPR) course which has not yet expired. Renewal of a certificate is permissible on a “once only” basis. Meets WSIB requirements. Hands on use of AED trainers.

  • Recognized prerequisite for most medical, nursing and ambulance programs. Level C CPR with AED and BVM (bag valve mask). Hands on use of AED trainers.

  • A one day renewal for those that have taken the St. John Ambulance Standard with HCP (Level C CPR) course which has not yet expired. Renewal of a certificate is permissible on a “once only” basis. Hands on use of AED trainers.

CPR
Learn to provide assistance to a person whose heart has stopped, who is choking or has stopped breathing. Annual training recommended.


WHMIS
In every workplace with one or more employees, workers who work with or near where chemicals are used or stored must be trained in how to use these chemicals. Training is available online at www.sjatraining.com  or in a traditional classroom setting (custom core training is 4 hours). Additional site specific training may be added. Call for dates

Marine First Aid
This program meets the Transport Canada, Marine Safety requirements for examination and certification of seafarers per document TP 13008E


Program complies with Paramedic Association of Canada Emergency Medical Responder Guidelines 40-hour course.

Wilderness First Aid
Emergency First Aid + Heartsaver is the prerequisite for this course. Be prepared for emergencies where 911 is not available. Call for more information.

A course for 11-15 year olds. Develop babysitting, leadership and first aid skills. Learn to care for infants, toddlers and older children, what questions to ask parents and what to do in emergencies. Role playing, hands on practice includes Babysitter Kit

Designed for children 8 – 11 to give them basic emergency and safety training. Topics include: handling phone calls, people at the door, 911 emergencies, first aid, at home do’s and don’ts. NOTE: A child under 10 should not be left alone. Although they may have taken the home alone course, a child under 10 just does not have the ability to make judgment you can count on.

Learn to inspect child seat installations. Understanding current guidelines, fundamentals and techniques. 13+ hour course.


Prepares candidates to teach up to Standard Level First Aid. 40 hour course + skill testing. Prerequisite: Standard First Aid + Level HCP, Please call for additional requirements
