Wilderness First Aid Level I

A comprehensive program for those who live, work, and play in the Canadian wilderness. Students are prepared with the skills and knowledge to care for injuries and promote recovery when you are hours, or even days, away from emergency medical aid. An excellent program for Scout and Guide leaders, employees working in remote locations, campers, hikers, hunters, and others who enjoy wilderness recreational activities. Topics covered include: Wilderness Basics & Trip Planning; Emergency Scene Management; Airway and Breathing Emergencies; Circulatory Emergencies; Wound Care; Bone & Joint Injuries; Medical Emergencies; Environmental Emergencies; Poisons, Bites and Stings.

A St. John Ambulance Emergency First Aid with CPR A + AED certificate is included with this course.
