First Aid on the Farm
General Course Description:
Farming is one of Canada's most hazardous occupations. Dealing with heavy machinery, unpredictable animals, dangerous chemicals and routine farm activities increases the potential for injury. It makes safety sense for the whole family to learn first aid.
 
This introductory first aid and safety course is geared to individuals and families who live a farming life. The course identifies hazards unique to the farm and teaches appropriate responses through scenario-based training.

In First Aid on the Farm course you will learn about:
  • Farm hazards
  • Emergency scene management
  • Shock
  • Unconsciousness
  • Choking
  • Wounds and bleeding
  • Head and spinal injuries
  • Burns and poisoning
  • Eye injuries
  • Heart attack and stroke
  • First aid kits
Delivery Options:This course can be delivered in classroom, at your home, at your school, or at your location.
